| Parish Network Visitors
Purpose
The main purpose of a Parish Network Visitor is to be a friend to a fellow parishioner by visiting them in their own home or a nursing home at least once a month. These visits may consist of just sitting and chatting, playing cards, watching TV, reading or other similar acticity.
Other Activities
- Just prior to Christmas, Parish Network Visitors host a fellowship evening for all seniors in the parish, not just those on the visitation list. This evening consists of an Eucharist Service, followed by a soup and dessert supper, with entertainment after.
- In the Spring, the Parish Network Visitors host another fellowship evening, again for all seniors in the parish. This evening is an Eucharist Service followed by a cold plate supper.
About Us
We are a group of about 25 male and female parishioners who enjoy this very rewarding ministry within our parish. We are currently visiting about 40 parishioners in their homes and nursing homes. At each of our two fellowship evenings we usually cater to over one hundred senior parishioners.
