Message from The Vestry

Key Messages from the Vestry

  • The Bishop visited the vestry last night to give clarification to Diocesan policies and procedures
  • Giving to the parish has decreased over the summer months more than usual. Combined with increased electrical consumption over the months of June – September, the vestry is very concerned.
  • The vestry heard a verbal update from the Chair of the Financial Viability Committee (Committee arising from the AGM). The report will be ready to be presented to the vestry by November 2018.

Current Financial Portrait:

Period January to August 2018:

Every Member Visitation:

There is a great need for persons in the parish to become reconnected with our ministry, our worship, and opportunities for fellowship. There is great need for our parish to remind individuals and families that they matter, that they are loved, and that they are deeply loved. Canon Burrows and the Vestry are looking for interested parishioners to assist with the Every Member Visitation. This will be occurring from October 15 – December 15, 2018. Interested persons are invited to attend the training on Saturday, October 13, 2018 10:00am – 12:00pm. Roles needed to be filled include: Telephone visiting, home visiting with active/retired clergy, hosting a kitchen table discussion in your home, or hosting a facebook group discussion. Please sign up at the office, and contact Canon Burrows for more information.
