Our Fall Fair starts this coming Saturday, November 17!  Fall Fairs are successful due to the help of volunteers.  This week many are in the process of baking, collecting, organizing, .... planning for our upcoming Fair.  Thanks in advance for all who make this fundraiser and fellowship event possible.

*  Just to refresh your mind again, you can drop any donations for the different sales tables at the church from 9 to noon for the rest of this week, and on Friday evening at 7 p.m. during our set up time. Thanks for your support!

*  The Fall Fair events start at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, and continues until noon. Admission is $1 and there will be morning tea/coffee with sweets at a cost of $6.  Come and enjoy!

*  If you are planning on enjoying a roast beef supper on Tuesday, November 20, at 6 p.m., the deadline for both eat in and take out ticket purchase is Friday, November 16. ($20 for adults, $10 for children under 12)

*  Also, the Fall Fair wraps up with a card game on Tuesday, November 27, at 7 with the usual prizes.  Just $6, your friends, and your own cards and baskets, for a great evening out.

*  Lots of things happening this week.  Our special Advent Project begins November 16, on the Feast of St. Margaret of Scotland.  As told to you before, the confirmation class, along with the whole parish, will be partnering with the John Howard Society to donate personal care items for men in need who reside in and around our community.  The items, such as men's socks, hats, mitts, deodorant, razors, shampoo & conditioner, etc.  will be presented to the Society at a later date.  St. Margaret's Boat will be in the side foyer to hold all of the donations.  Thanks again for your anticipated support of this project.

*  Special thanks to all who donate to our food bank.  This week they would like to find the following items in our food bank box:  crackers, cereal, and tinned soup.

*  Captains, please remind your teams:  Sidespersons' Team # 5, and Counting Team # 7.

*  A very important reminder for all confirmation candidates!!  There is a class this coming Sunday, November 18, from 2 to 4 p.m.  Prayer partners are expected to join them at 2 p.m. for 'meet and greet'.
*  You may want to mark your calendars already for the Christmas Tree Lighting

Ceremony
which will take place on December 23 at 6:30 p.m. in conjunction with the Lessons and Carol Service.  Keep an eye out for information regarding submitting names and donations in memory of loved ones, or in honour of a special occasion, for this Christmas event.

*  I have been asked to include the following notice regarding the Parish Network Visitors:  the next meeting will be held in the multi-purpose room at the church at 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 22.  New members or prospective members are welcome.  If you cannot attend the meeting but wish to join our group, please call Shirley at 368-6180, Margaret at 368-1867, or speak with Rev.'d Lynn at the church.  Visits involve about one hour per month at the home or personal care home of a sick or shut-in senior.  Please consider this very important ministry.

That's it, folks - be careful driving today!

God Bless,
Jean (On behalf of Ascension)
