Next Sunday, June 16, is Father's Day!
You all have heard many times before, "Anyone can be a Father, but it takes someone special to be a Dad." Hope those special people - grandfathers, fathers, stepfathers, and those who take a father's role - have an awesome day with your family!

*  There are three key messages from vestry that you may not know about if you were not able to attend church last Sunday:
 a) ongoing issues with the elevator are being seen to, and the vestry is looking at options for replacing or upgrading the elevator,
b) a team is aiming to improve and update our website, so they would appreciate very much if any of you could provide content for the website,
c) and finally, our parish has been approached to be part of a community meal program.  If you are interested in being part of this community program, please contact the office.

*  Please remember to buy an extra non-perishable item or two for the food box.  The need is still as great during the summer months as during the rest of the year.  This week they are hoping for tinned tomatoes, meat balls and gravy, Irish stew, and one litre tetra boxes of orange juice.  Thanks for your continual support of the needy.

*  The inside yard sales still continue in our auditorium and will for every Saturday in June, July, and August, from 9 a.m. to noon.  Table rentals are $20 for one table and $10 for each additional table.  If you are interested, please contact Brian at 682-1844 or Rosalind at 221-8400, or by email

*  Captains, please remind your teams:  Sidespersons' Team #4 and Counting Team # 5.

*  Next Sunday is Trinity Sunday.  The liturgy for the 11 a.m. service will be Holy Eucharist/Welsh Rite.  There will not be another Evening Service until September 29.

*  For those who attended, I am sure you will agree that the closing dinner for ACW and MSC on Monday evening was quite enjoyable - awesome food, great fellowship, and wonderful entertainment.  Thanks to all who helped in any way to make it possible.  Maybe you would like to check out the few pictures on our facebook page!!

That's it folks,
God Bless,
Jean (On behalf of Ascension)
